Hardneck
7-12 red cloves per head
Hot and spicy flavor
This heirloom garlic variety???first introduced in Portland, Oregon, before 1900???was originally known as ??Greek?? or ??Greek Blue?? garlic. Like most Rocambole garlics, it has a very strong, rich, hot-and-spicy flavor. A vigorous grower, it produces large, dark-green foliage that results in good-sized bulbs that sometimes have light-purple coloring. Cloves have a thin layer of dark-brown skin as well as a tendency for doubles. This variety grows best in cold-winter areas and is not suited for areas that have warm winters. Hardneck, 7-12 cloves per bulb.
