A vigorous grower, this variety has long roots that enable it to overwinter without heaving out of the ground. Outside skin is ivory-white, but the clove skin is dark-red. This garlic has a strong raw flavor and a high sugar content, and is considered one of the very best varieties for roasting. As its name suggests, this Porcelain-type is a cold-hardy variety that is a dependable producer. Hardneck, 4-7 cloves per bulb.
